Westhampton Beach – The Westhampton Beach Fire Department responded to a

working structure fire at 104 Main Street and Glovers Lane in Westhampton Beach at

2:13 pm on Thursday, March 29, 2007.

The fire had started in an area where workers had been repairing a section of roof

near a second floor entrance for an upstairs apartment. Although smoke had entered

the 2^nd floor, the fire had not yet started to spread and was quickly extinguished by

firefighters.

There were no injuries to firefighters or others and the building suffered minor damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Southampton Town Fire Marshals

Office.
